The mission is an extension of its parent Staircase Books, which is to publish literature of enduring aesthetic and cultural value.
Duck accepts submissions via Submittable.
Please submit five poems or less at a time. All submissions must be in English or translated into English.
Simultaneous submissions are allowed. Please notify us immediately if the work is accepted elsewhere.

Duck is a quarterly periodical. Issue 1 is set to arrive in January 2026. We are seeking illustrations to use as cover artwork for forthcoming issues of the magazine. The illustration should depict a duck or ducks in some way. Photography and AI-generated imagery is not accepted. Please upload scans or photographs of your work.
